The city of Athens may only have around 14,000 residence, but once you include the surrounding neighborhoods the county itself (McMinn County TN) has around 53,000 people. The real estate agents here are incredible and remind me a lot of the Realtors I use to work with in Mesquite Nevada. They’re definitely a large enough community to deserve access to a professional photographer at a reasonable rate. Personally, living in Marryville, I enjoy the short drive down to Athens. Though the construction on White Street isn’t too pleasant, the traffic still seems to move along at a reasonable pace.

The properties are mostly older here and the residence of Athens seem to be obsessed with darker colors, making it a real challenge to deliver bright images. In order to accomplish this, I’m usually bringing to the table up to 6 or even 7 lights to brighten up a space.

This home was super dark inside so I was a little concerned initially when I was setting up my camera – but I think we were able to brighten it up.

This home is so similar in style to my house in Maryville. We have a very similar color scheme with beautiful dark wood floors and light gray walls with just a small tiny hint of blue. I only wish we had a more secluded backyard like this property.
