This is only my second time in the town of Vonore. Last week we took the kids to Vonore Beach – which was fantastic! This home was located in the Kahite area in Vonore. Just a few blocks away from The Links at Kahite Golf Course. Looks like fun, definitely going on my short list to play this 18 hole course. Though I never really have much luck with Links golf courses, I love to play them.

I shot this home for Tom Gongola with Crye-Leike Realty in Loudon TN.

This is our first July 4th experience in Tennessee. Having just shortly moved here we weren’t sure what to expect. We found out that the city we live in (Maryville) celebrates in conjunction with it’s neighboring town of Alcoa the 4th of July on the last Saturday in the month of June. They call the event FreedomFest, and this year they held it at Duck Pond which backs up to an elementary school. This is such a great location for a small town firework show. They had plenty of food trucks there, live music and games for the kids. The park was packed! Though they had a ton of food vendors, the lines were ridiculously long.

The firework show itself was fantastic! In sync with music in the background, the small town of Alcoa produced a firework show worthy of a much larger city. This makes me super excited to experience the firework show in Knoxville later this week. Though I was lazy and just threw the camera on the tripod I was still able to grab a couple great pictures of the show.

Well after living here in Tennessee for over 20 days we finally made it to the Great Smoky Mountains! Though I prefer the part of the Smoky’s that is closer to the town of Townsend, or as the locals call it, “townsinn” (they don’t pronounce the “d”). Kind of like here in Marryville – It’s not Marryville it’s “Merville” (no Marry).

We found a great little hiking trail that was easy for the kids and ran along side a little river. It smells so good out here and I still can’t believe how green and beautiful everything is.
